Artists

A-A-P Amsterdam collaborate with independent proffesionals in photography and contemporary art and facilitate in the field of positioning, strategy, marketing and consultancy.

History + activities

A-A-P Amsterdam was founded in 2006 by director Victor Alling.
The concept of the agency was to offer ‘direct coaching’ to a small group of photographers in the Netherlands, as well as internationally.
Giving them support to develop exhibitions and publications, as well as guiding them within the international contemporary photography art market.

International recognition came right from the start through editor Carlos Cezanne followed by the Conde Nast Publications in England and Germany and the first group exhibition for the Amsterdam International Photography Biennale, GRID 2006.
Since 2007 A-A-P worked together with Advertising Agency Bureau Pindakaas on national and international productions for the City of Amsterdam and  Economic Affairs Amsterdam.
The ‘Iamsterdam’ ad-campaign, PROUD magazine and the ARBC-New York are the outcome of this long term city marketing project.

In 2008 the Agency changed its focus towards black and white art photography.
Together with photographer Mart Engelen, Victor Alling published the international bi-annual photography chronicle, named #59 Magazine, in 2009.
The magazine is related to Suite 59 Gallery and is now available in 16 countries world-wide in different concept stores such as Colette Paris, Corso Como 10 Milan, Armani Libri Milan as well as international Art Galleries and Museums.
Apart from the A-A-P activities Victor Alling continues teaching international copywriters, art directors and creative directors at the Miami Adschool Amsterdam and connect them with the A-A-P commercial network.
